World Book Day
18 03 2007We had our world book day on the 1st of March 2007. The theme was books from other countries or characters with a different nationality than our own. Lots of people came dressed up really well and it was really fun guessing what they were some of the costumes were Cowgirls, Aladdin, Zorro, Willy Wonka and Darth Vader. Mr Dickie came dressed as King Kong with the little doll and hairy feet but he didn’t actually have a suit. We wrote a story start on world book day. The primary 1-4 class started it and then sent it to Colonsay. They sent it to Saint Kierens in Campeltown and then they sent it to Tayvallich and then it got sent back to the primary 5-7 in Kilchrenan and we finished it. The School Board are going to decide what the name should be out of the thoughts we came up with, and which picture should be the front cover. The primary 4-7 class did banners to hang up in the class on one side it said the country and on the other side it said the country’s language.

It is lovely to see all these stories on the blog – well done to all who wrote something and to Mr. Dickie for putting them on to ‘edublogs’. I hope you get some comments from other people – it will show that your blog is being read by people outwith the school.
