Celtic day

On Friday, the last day of term, it was Celtic day. We all dressed up as Celts. Then we went on the computer to find out about celtic houses. We had to build a house on the computer, it was fun. We made our own house out of willow bark and rushes. Then we went back to our classroom.
Then Cameron and Alfie told us a story about a Celtic myth. We sat on the floor around a pretend fire that the p7s had made. Then we got some food that we made before we had told the story. Then we started the story and so on we came to the end. It was 3o’clock and it was a fun day .We were all happy because it was the holiday.

Moving On.

Sarah’s last day in Kilchrenan! A big “All The Best” from all of us in P5-7. We know you will really enjoy the new school, and that we will really miss you.

You’ve been a great friend to so many, a hard worker, and great fun. Still, you will be able to follow what we are up to through the blog. Hopefully we can encourage you to post a few comments.

And if your new class doesn’t blog- tell them all about it. You could show them our new blogs for the writer’s and science sacks. ( www.kpswriterssack.edublogs.org and www.kpssciencesack.edublogs.org )

With love from us all.

Newtonmore strikes again!

In rafting I was one of the front people and when we went down a rapid i got really wet and it was great fun. We each had a paddle my paddle was taller than GP and me . We went down a big rapid and bumped into a raft the other team splashed us till .We were soaked! I screamed and attact with water
we were in a raft with Kristen and Jane . my favourite thing was canoeing and i was the front person . We went through a tunnel it was really big .We played a game were we had to point the front of our canoe to the mini bus ,fence, mountain or the trees and a friend almost tipped our canoe , it was scary! Some people wanted to tip their canoes.

In Abseiling i did big jump and i went really fast down wards. And i hit off the wall ,i

More Adventures from Newtownmore!

We went away for five days to a place not far from Aviemore.
We did lots of different activities these are the ones that we enjoyed the most, we enjoyed gorge
walking I jumped off a four metre cliff, that was the most challenging bit for me. We also liked abseiling. We abseiled a fifty foot cliff. We went curling in the evening and junior professionals taught us we also went swimming in the Inverness swimming pool there were flumes, there was one that was vertical. We enjoyed the whole trip and we would recommend it to everyone. The food was good and the accommodation was good as well. ***** Five stars

Yet more adventures from Newtonmore!!

My favourite things:

My favourite thing was gorge walking because we got to jump off a big ledge witch was about 4 metres high! The water was really cold but we still stayed in for a while. My other favourite thing was rock-climbing because the rock was really high and some of us made it to the top! We rock-climbed up and abseiled down, witch was really fun. The disco was really good as well because nearly everybody danced. The accommodation was really nice and I shared a dorm with my friends, we hardly went to sleep! We also went curling in Inverness and that was really hard because it was really slippy. The next evening we went back to Inverness to go swimming but unfortunately the shoots w on!

My favourite things:

My favourite thing was gorge walking because it was cool but the water was really cold but we had wetsuits on which made us a bit warmer. I jumped off 2 jumps 1 small and 1 middle size I went up to the top but in ever jumped off!!!
My second favourite bit was rafting it was really fun when we were going down the rapids there was this really big one called the washing machine the biggest rapid on that river we nearly capsized. I jumped in 4 times one time I jumped and the second too and then I swam to another raft and they kidnapped us, the third time I nearly fell in but I jumped then I did a big cannonball. The centre was quite big and the boys were on the bottom floor and the girls were on the first floor. The centre has a vending machine. The meals were good we would usually wake up at half past seven then have breakfast at eight, which was usually cereal then a cooked breakfast. The disco was on the last night
It was really fun nearly everybody danced except some of the boys which some of the girls had to chase to make them dance.
I think everybody’s favourite song was paper dreams by the kooks. Me and S.W chased loads of boys especially one of the teachers at our schools son and his friend!
